The Future of Tech: Our Predictions

When we think about the year 2050 and the tech of the future, it’s hard not to imagine a completely alien world. However, it is only 30 years from now and much of the technology that will shape our future is already being used by businesses across the world today, says Dragon IS Managing Director Lionel Naidoo.

Lionel offered his future technology predictions at the recent Essendon Breakfast Network Meeting at Towcester Race Course on 4th July. His thought provoking presentation to an audience of local businesses including representatives from legal firms, accountants, HR, recruitment and media, touched on some of the most common business concerns and how technology may solve them in 2018/19 and beyond to 2050. His top tips included:

• Blockchain Technology and how it may be used in future elections or in finance to add transparency and security.
• How AI and new types of automation will change the way we work.
• How businesses will learn to take advantage of the Internet of Things (IoT) to drive operational efficiencies and improve performance.
• The game-changing technology developments that we can expect to see in the next 30 years.

The presentation certainly  got everyone thinking about the incredible pace of technology and how it could transform their business activities.
