Trusted and Proactive IT Support and Managed IT Services
Wellingborough IT company, Dragon Information Systems, has merged with Stafford-based Simplex IT Solutions, as part of a long‑term strategy to expand its managed IT, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity services.
Both companies are now part of the newly formed Dragon Technology Group and bring together over 40 years combined experience operating in the IT services sector.
With established customer bases spanning the central and south‑eastern regions, the acquisition represents the first step in a broader strategy to strengthen Dragon Technology Group’s regional footprint and accelerate future M&A activity. It also follows Dragon’s recent investment in a new head office in Strixton, underscoring the company’s commitment to long‑term growth.
Lionel Naidoo, Founder and Managing Director of Dragon Information Systems, and now Chief Executive of Dragon Technology Group said: “Simplex is a natural fit for us, being a like‑minded business with the same commitment to service, reliability and long‑term partnerships. By bringing our teams together, we can offer customers a broader range of services, extended support hours and the reassurance of a larger, ISO‑accredited provider behind them. This acquisition strengthens our foundations and sets us up for further growth as Dragon Technology Group.”
The deal sees all staff retained across the businesses. For the group, Andrew Glyn-Mills takes up the role of Chief Revenue Officer, alongside Craig Joyner who moves to Chief Technology Officer.
Lionel added: “Looking ahead, we will be continuing to grow the business in a way that maintains the essence of the company and the strong culture we have created. We’re so grateful to our customers for continuing to put their trust in us, as we enter the next stage in our development.”
